Ubuntu 17.10 Google Chrome shortcut missing from desktop search

After upgrading Ubuntu 16.04 LTS to 17.10, I couldn’t launch Chrome by searching with the Super key (which is called Gnome Shell Search now).  Not Chromium mind you, but google-chrome-stable.  Even after re-installing, it wouldn’t appear in the search results despite having it’s icon on the dock like every other app.  After poking around I noticed this OnlyShowIn=Unity line looked suspicious considering the switch from Unity to Gnome, and commenting it out fixed it, no reboot necessary.
